TH runs audits at several drying plants in Spain and America

Over the course of this year, TH has run various audits at drying plants for customers in Spain and America, in an effort to optimise their drying facilities. These customers have placed their trust in TH's broad experience in drying processes: the company has been supplying its proprietary plant and processing equipment to the aggregates, mining and industrial ore industries for over 50 years.

The audits conducted by TH analyse the updating, optimising or replacing the facilities or equipment currently operating, and set preventive maintenance guidelines to reduce maintenance costs and extend useful lifetimes. To that end, TH's team of process engineers start with a visit to assess the current status of each processing facility and/or of the equipment in operation. During that visit, flow diagrams and performance figures are examined, it is decided what samples must be analysed and what tests conducted, and any hotspots for loss of performance are identified, among other things.     

The technical team from TH uses the information gathered during visits to draw up a descriptive technical report with analysis and conclusions. That report includes corrective and improvement measures, with estimates of their costs. Improvements may involve merely optimising maintenance routines, changing operating parameters, updating certain equipment, replacing equipment, adding new equipment or a combination of the above. Once applied, these measures help to increase output at the plant and extend its useful lifetime.

TH's broad experience in process engineering enables it to offer this auditing service for all types of processing plant in the mining, aggregates, industrial minerals and environmental industries, covering equipment supplied by itself and by third parties.
